Religion should be taught at home and accepted in school. Not taught at school.

I don't want teachers that have their own views and opinions on religion, that may differ from mine, influencing my children and their beliefs.

Religion is a very personal thing, some choose not to be religious and shouldn't be forced to be just because you think everyone should believe as you do.

I'd say raping a child is a bit more than a mistake and the desire to have sex with children isn't a human need or temptation, not for normal, healthy people.

so its ok to forgive a priest but not Scientologist....by the way how much in taxes did the catholic church pay last year

i am not giving excuses to what they did, i hate it too
what i am saying is , priest, doctor, teacher and everyone else...they are just people..
i don't put anyone to pedestal including the priest..what they do is just spread the word just like other people and you dont have to be a priest to do it...

the goodness of the word of the Lord is what makes me a catholic..honestly, i dont even go to church. i pray by myself, i follow goodness

That's how I am as well.

I try to follow goodness, I pray at home daily. I don't need to go to church for that.

sorry i dont come here to find who is a better religion or belief, i cant compare all of them because i only practice one .

before coming to america, i came from a country that catholic is one of our subject, we read and try to interpret the bible and practice goodness by treating each other with respect and realizing the value of life..with the recent mass shooting/killing, the suspects/criminals are normally young men , if we can have people grow with goodness then maybe all of our lives will be peaceful and happy... all of the teachings the children learn always starts at school so i thought it will be good for them to have some religion interactions from the beginning.

maybe the parents can choose which religion course their children can participate too

Catholicism and Christianity are oil and water. Catholicism being oil, because it is slick, by fornicating with every god/demon/idol. The whore of Babylon if you will. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob doesn't take too kindly with Catholicism changing the Sabbath, worshipping the sun, worshipping the queen of heaven, molesting children and trying to implant pagan traditions and ideologies into the Church stature. Oh and lets not forget them denying the Godhead (thereby making them Antichrist, as told BY God), cannibalism and them claiming that they have the God given right to permit sins, although it is ONLY Jesus that can do so. The funny thing, is that Catholicism doesn't hide their deeds, but yet foolish people flock to them anyway for some reason.
