Queen attends cabinet meeting for the first time..

Nothing happened, she just sat there and watched then got given a present.

Part of Antarctica is to be named Queen Elizabeth Land in honour of the Queen, it was announced as she made an historic visit to Downing Street.

She is the first monarch since 1781 - during the US war of independence - to attend a cabinet meeting.

She met ministers, who gave her a set of 60 place mats, to mark her Diamond Jubilee after 60 years on the throne.

The Queen joined the cabinet while they were updated on a range of forthcoming parliamentary business.

i am thinking she is doing a farewell tour either because she is sick and knows the end is near or because she is going to step down so charles can take the throne. a few months ago, i remember him publically complaining that he didn't think that would ever happen.

or course, this is all assuming we live past friday...

Or she is making sure that before she pops her cloggs she is remember for having a golden age like her namesake, Lizzy No 1.

Although if we where to follow that one, it would mean going off and stealing everyone elses wealth ;) so no real change from what we are doing now.
