It's a nationwide epidemic I'm afraid...these pets have developed this sense of entitlement due to our own inability to spare the rod...or spray bottle, mind you.

Now we have a whole generation, of not only cats, but dogs, birds, rabbits and even horses that think that they do not need to contribute to society and that they are around purely for our own entertainment.

I say NIGH!!!

The time has come...these pets have gone too far. It's time to show them who the real boss is ...not tom mention the top of the food chain...

I myself will be dining on a Yorkie Roast this Christmas...warn those cats, dogs, bunnies and ponies that the humans are taking back the jungle...............

My cats are always acting strange. I'd be worried if they were acting normal.

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
How cool is that?!

We have both coyotes and Foxes coming into our yard right up to our deck on a daily basis in the last few weeks. What is really strange about this is what is going on between one of my cats and my dog, my dog will be asleep under my chair in the kitchen and my cat will come running out from our sun room up to my dog and wake him up, then run back to the sun room with my dog running after her. Then my dog goes nuts barking and growling looking out the window, while the cat sits on the table looking outside too. Sure enough it's either a coyote or a fox right there outside in the yard.

My cat tells my dog when they come!!! It's unreal to see this and I just figured it out last night. Before last night I just heard my dog freaking out and went to look and saw my cat and him in the sun room together. Last night I saw her come and get him. blink

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
Mentioning the military I have to think of the movie The Mysr.

damned

We had a weird, stinky fog last night in Georgia, hmmmm.

My cat is indoor/outdoor cat, she was pissed yesterday because it was raining and she couldn't go out - typically she likes to spend all day outside, coming in for a bite every now and again. Today it's nice out, the backdoor is open (she lets herself out) and she's sitting on my lap - a bit unusual.

And when she did go out this morning, she kept coming to the back door asking to be let back in - about 5 times until she decided to stay in.

can you describe it a bit more? the smell and stuff?

i am working on a theory....

compare your fog to what others have reported:

Started yesterday, now cats that have known each other since birth and never be fought, they are fighting all the time. It's intense too, we are having to keep certain cats in separate rooms to calm the aggression.

Anyone elses animals acting CRAZY lately?

Re: Some of our cats are going CRAZY!
I'm so glad you posted ths and have not read through the thread yet but my cat is acting tres strange!

He's a real sweetie and loves being outside but he's remained indoors all day today and most of yesterday, sleeping a lot, but being extra sensitive to noises and movements whereas he's normally the most laid-back cat you'd ever meet. He does keep rolling on his back to get his tummy rubbed so I wouldn't say he's upset, but he is avoiding the outdoors, extra sleepy, and at the same time unusually skittish. I noticed this. He also slept on my daughter's pajamas which is very unusual. She is 6 yrs old. I wonder if he somehow "feels" the Sandy Hook tragedy. He seems to not be able to wait for my kids to return home from school and snce yesterday morning has kept very close to them at all times.

"These should be ignored but both made me laugh!

However, animals are sensitive and we do watch their reactions to warn us. I think they can feel vibrations we can't. My dogs and cats aways act up when an earthquake occurrs in Calif. - not yet prior but I have my eye on them!
"

This is true. Back few years ago when that little earthquake hit...Illinois think it was? For whatever reason, I woke up about 4am. All of a sudden my parrot started going nuts in her cage. I got up to check on her, she was startled, but didn't see anything. Climbed back in bed, minute or so later, didn't feel anything, but heard the stuff on my desk and shelves rattling/shaking. She was sensing or feeling the earthquake a good 2 minutes before I was able to hear/sense it. Animals will show signs that something isn't right. I'm in Tennessee, for now, and my pets have all been fine today, except that parrot has been very talkative the last 2 days-which is unusual for her. But then, for the past month I've also been leaving the radio on to keep the dogs from hearing stuff outside....guess it's a good thing it wasn't a rap station!!
