knee jerk reactions will continue by the mentally impaired.

CONgress,Senate members have Millions invested in companies that supply the US military with firearms and other supplies because they make money off of it. why do you think they keep the conflicts going and keep funding the wars on terror. $$GREED$$

The investros of the company that owns bushmaster probably are over reacting saying they do not want to make a profit from a firearm that may be used in a illegal manner.

Cerberus to Sell Gunmaker Freedom Group

The private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management said on Tuesday that it would sell its investment in the gunmaker Freedom Group in response to the school shootings last week in Connecticut.

Cerberus acquired Bushmaster — the manufacturer of the rifle used by the gunman in the Newtown attacks that killed 27 people, including 20 schoolchildren — in 2006.

That's a fucking stupid business move. Bushmaster has military contracts --- the autocannon for the BFV is made by them, among other things. It doesn't just manufacture civilian sporting rifles. Dumb.

that's because they won't really sell them....they'll form some sort of dummy corp/investment group and they will just "sell" back to themselves.....

a lot of people think of this but the reality is that they were the "legal owners" and could be held libel even if they sell

think of all the chemical companies who dumped waste in the 40,50,60 & 70's. Lots have been sued even though they have been sold or changed names.

So whose going to make all the guns we're murdering Muslims with, if all the gun makers go out of business?

Cerberus is a Private Equity Firm. The buy companies make the better the. Sell them. That's how they make their investors money. This has NOTHING to do with the CT shooting. They also own Remington and they are not selling them. When a huge multi-billion dollar fund like Cerberus it takes minimum of 1 year of planning, legal, investment banking and deal making. so this has NOTHIng to do with the shootin
