Obama wants your guns. But he does like his drones. Nice and neat. No americans get killed. Just women and kids.

You say that....but every war before the 1990's always had very high collateral civilian damage.
Now there is much less of it.

There is no such thing as a "clean war".
Not condoning it....just stating reality.

This is quite another animal. I've known people who pilot drones. Most of these "very young adults" are in there early 20's and have grown up on violent video games. You know the kind where you kill anything that moves?
Well, they sign up for the military and are hand selected for the drone programs based on testing...I'm sure..
We are training our soldiers, if that's what you want to refer to them as now, to sit behind a console, press buttons, and take lives.
Get it?

BTW, we have some very courageous soldiers in the line of fire and that is not what this post is directed towards.

grow up? really?

how old are you.

been around the block once or twice?

World War II was the most lethal war in world history, with some 70 million killed in six years. The civilian to combatant fatality rate in World War II lies somewhere between 3:2 and 2:1, or from 60% to 67%.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

so.... CONSERVATIVELY.... 4.2 MILLION CIVILIANS WERE KILLED IN WW2 before they had precision bombs and drones.

how many civilians have been killed in pakistan, afghanistan, iraq, etc since 2000?

have anything to say?

you're a fucking liar. i quote 'crapapedia' because that is all that you deserve.

how can you sit there and pontificate that precision bombings and drone attacks are somehow not more humane than carpet bombing, gassings and nukes? because that is what you are implying.

and you didn't respond to how young you are, fuckwad.

Fuckwad and liar? Nice. Pontificate? Are you nuts, I was saying nothing of the sort. I do not believe collateral damage of any kind is acceptable, let alone believe any war in last hundreds of years is justified other than money/resource driven.

And to answer your age question, I was born before mid 50's.

and i still think as much as i hate war entirely with my being, that 'modern' warfare kills less civilians than it did in WWII or Korea or Viet Nam.
