That is what pisses me off about them. GOA needs more members to be effective and that wont happen until more people make the switch. Untit the GOA grows to rival the NRA in sheer numbers of members, I think it would be a good option to be members of both. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. Range guns should be supplied and ammo for a minimal cost, training should start at 12 years old. This training should be offered as part of school, with the option to opt out for anyone. Most of the issues with guns is because there are people who have never been exposed to their safe use. Take away the stigma and illusion of guns being evil talismans and people will be less likely to be scared of simple machines. |
