I would expect the sale of gun locks and safes to increase more than anything but hey what do I know. I don't know much.

Canada has very intrusive and restrictive "Storage" laws. While the law is often abused by Police and Overzealous Prosecutors there is some reason there.

In Canada you must have either a Locked Safe OR a Trigger Lock. I have Trigger Locks on all my Guns and they are all also in my safe. Why? Because I have a 12 year old and that's just the way I choose to deal with having guns and a child in the same home.

The only thing that worries me is how fast I can unlock these 2 locks and be ready for a home invasion. I have Practiced and I am down to 37 seconds. I have also "Hardened" my home so an Intruder will need much more than 37 seconds to be in my bedroom.

I am also big on Fire Safety. Each Bedroom has a Fire Extinguisher, Smoke Detector, CO2 Detector AND a Window Chain Ladder to escape.

Don't be a Prisoner in your own home, but be prepared for anything!

37 seconds? To me that kind of defeats the purpose/utility of a firearm.

i am thinking your full o shit dude,
in canada, you have to tell the police you have a gun, where it is, and the ammo,
if you can get, it must be locked up far away from said weapon.
and the police can come in to your house any time for anything because you own or have ownd said weapon.

allso, not just anyone can have a gun, reguardless of the fake dudes from canada who come on this forum and claim they have them .

Not really, It will take an Intruder in the Dark alot longer than 37 seconds to first get thru my front or back door and then find his way thru the dark house (that he does not know his way around) he is then gonna trip on the Baby Gate I have on the staircase (for the dog) and then get thru my locked bedroom door (which is a modified steel frame, steel door with deadbolt) I mean I will be able to get to my gun and have my lunch before he gets in......

Police can only come in if you own "Restricted" firearms, I don't have any of those. Also The Long Gun Registry is now gone so nobody knows what we own. You are correct that anyone can't have a gun, you must pass a background check and do a course. I have done both thanks.

lol Yes. Some kids are yard apes unfortunately. Others aren't very bright. Dumber than a box of rocks...not playing with a full deck or doesn't play cards at all...a brick shy of a full load...only two brain cells and both of those are at war...etc etc

Personally...I think one gun is enough conceal carry at all times if possible. Never let it leave your person. And it would be nice if they made ALL guns fingerprint recognition. Meaning that if the owner isn't holding it...then it will not fire.

Now...does that stop said tard from cutting dear old mums hand off and using it to try and fire the gun? Well...no but hes a tard. And his kill count would definitely be a lot lower if he is trying to fire the gun with three hands.

True, but this isn't really a new problem as they are framing it to be.

In the old days, psycho kids did all kinds of bad things to get back at the community with similarly lethal results. Angry teenagers and young people have burned down churches and houses full of people including kids, as well as even more indiscriminate attacks like poisoning the well. These kinds of things have been happening for as long as people have lived in communities.
