Anonymous Coward User ID: 23223519 United States 12/18/2012 01:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | o.O did you even read the article? its a new species of the genus Cyclosa. the other spiders in the genus Cyclosa do not have this ability. that is Evolution. Every nature article supports Evolutionism by default. It's religious dogma. And actually this is direct evidence against neo-darwinian evolution. Such an "evolved" ability (in Evo-Land) would take hundred-thousands, possibly millions of years of gradual random mutations. Yet while the spider learned this amazing skill, the rest of its physiology just happened to remain identical to its sister species. Now consider Natural Selection. Each little "evolved" placement of a silk blob had to confer a significant advantage to the spider. That means nature had to select for amorphous blob #1, over amorphous blob #2. You really think the prey is THAT precise??? It's a complete joke. Just think logically about it and stop swallowing others' religious worldviews. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23223519 United States 12/18/2012 01:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It doesn't, but it 'knows' when it does something evolutionarily successful. All REAL empirical scientific data shows us that this spider species has always been able to create the fully formed decoy, just like all of nature's abilities. Stories about animals somehow gaining complex skills through culled genetic accidents is nothing but evolutionism creation myths. |

That hypothesis is even worse. Just think about it. The extra silk production would have been disadvantageous right from the start, unless it was immediately recognized as a spider decoy. The first spiders that attempted such a feat would have been weeded out due to their increased energy expenditure. This is all pandering to evo-fantasy. |
