Someone please help me out, i have been wondering what will happen if this gun control law gets approved. Are they gonna go house by house to collect the guns? If not; there will still be millions of guns in the US, thus the "problem" won't go away. What's your opinion on this one guys?

The only thing on that list with a prayer of coming close to passing into law anytime soon is the magazine limitation.

The bolded though indicates that you don't know the first thing about guns. All pistols are semi-auto. Semi-auto simply means that when you pull the trigger it goes bang... one time without having to seperately cock the gun for another shot. One trigger pull = one bang. The 101 year old 1911 Colt 45 and almost all revolvers going back to the 1800's do this as well. They aren't going to be banning 100+ year old tech any time soon.

I think it will happen in steps.

First an assault weapon and high capacity magazine ban PDQ like in the coming weeks along with more stringent background checks. This time wont be like the last, IE this time no AR15 rifles will be sold period. If you want an AR you better go buy one now.

Followed by...

Gun registration nationwide.

Ban on reloading supplies.

Ammo registration.

Finally Total retroactive ban and confiscation on all auto, semiauto and pump rifles, shotguns and pistols. Possible partial ban on revolvers.
IE turn in your guns or go to jail.

Amnesty offer for the holdouts, before we lock you up.

Ending with something similar to what Canada has now.

I don't even own a gun, but I am totally in favor of the 2nd amendment, and if you don't know why, then you need to go back and study some history

But that will only fade away the "problem" on the long term since most people already have a nice stash of ammunition, i'm also reading a lot of stories on message boards of people who are buying shitloads of ammunition after the school shooting of last week. These new comments on gun control by Obama will also certainly cause a huge rise in the demand of ammunition.
