It is very heavily rumoured that Charles is not Harrys father. When he looked at the newborn and his red hair, he is said to have left the marriage at that point. So Diana's Spencer bloodlines which go way back, are purer and more authentic than the Royals and they hated her for this.

The reason none of them have publicly admitted to a paternity test for Harry is because he is the "spare" to the heir and the spare for succession. Maybe after Wills has two children they;ll break a scandal and remove Harry. But right now he is preferred to Princess Anne, LOL, or the two strange other brothers, andrew and edward.
