When something like this happens though you are in shock for probably a few days or even weeks..its the minds way of protecting yourself from losing it I think..

That's just too weird, and out of the norm - I DON"T CARE WHO YOU ARE!!! My God, it's TRAGIC to lose a child.....just days from Christmas?!?!?! I don't care if you're Mormon or some other form of christianity (I am also a christian), I just think a normal way to get through any of this is....you are just in total shock, and unable to do much of anything - especially the first few days. Just too new, and raw. This is NOT a normal reaction to this type of tragedy.
