I employ reason and rationale when deciding what I believe about a story . . . this one reeks in every direction.
Apart from all the contradictions, I ask you to think and take a deep breath as you suggest . . . and think about what kind of parent would simply accept being told their daughter was murdered, that her little body had to stay in the classroom where she was allegedly killed, that they will not be allowed to see her at all, that she is in a white casket, and then walk away forever, NEVER knowing is she's there or not, done deal.
It is unfathomable.

I don't know about ALL the parents, I've asked that here and have not gotten an answer.
