The premise of this thread is saddening. From personal experience, even in numbing grief you can temporarily "compartmentalize" your feelings so you can endure. Despite your grief, you might even feel hungry and thoroughly enjoy a meal, and a few moments later a thought prompts the painful emotions to return. I believe that is what happened in this short clip.
