Well, that's not true because the guy portrayed is not Jesus Christ, but rather Cesare Borgia. Didn't God speak against graven images of the things in heaven? Why is it so hard for people to keep such a simple rule? Besides, the fact that Leonardo drew it honestly says enough.

Very good warning! Yes, we should not IDOLIZE any image, at all. When you read all of Deuteronomy 4 that is clear. Here is an important part though:

Idolatry Forbidden

Deuteronomy 4:
15 You saw no form of any kind the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, 16 so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, 17 or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, 18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. 19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. 20 But as for you, the Lord took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of his inheritance, as you now are.

Deuteronomy 4 like a few other verses, is distinctly warning again idolatry.


You certainly do not, imho, want to wear a cross around your neck or this circle symbol or a painting. Keep in mind, symbols, like this circle, were a method of text, of communicating. As were paintings.

I am not sure painting Jesus is wrong. It would be though if we idolized this "painting." It is merely a form of communication. At least that is what it should be seen as.

Jehovah God is Great, Jesus is Lord.

I get where you're coming from, but no. It goes far deeper than that. We are told;

The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.

[26] Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.


Almost the ENTIRE world thinks that this image IS Christ. Isn't that scary, once we see that this image ISN'T Jesus?! Cursed is cursed. Would you have a Pentagram around you? Does God detest it? So, there is NO excuse to be around such evil. Why did God tell us we'd be cursed? Because they're demonic. They are engulfed with demonic properties and on many occasions effect people spiritually. I've seen it. If God says no, then He MEANS no. There is no running around it.


Let me ask you this. Would you put up a fake photo of your mother around you? What if she told you to not have fake photo's of her? Why should she even HAVE to tell you?

Where is Jesus? Where are the angels? Isn't Jesus male??? Don't give excuses for evil.

Think about it. The WORLD thinks this is Jesus! So, what if "Jesus" came to "rapture" his "people"? Guess what will happen?

It is deeper than that, because this image is known throughout the entire world. It doesn't matter where people are from, almost the entire world thinks this image is Christ. Now, I ask you

You are correct on many levels. Most importantly, you are living your life as you see The Word, through God has instructed you, us. Thank you for sharing your valuable insights.

In essence, anything of this world now, of this system of things, is corrupted. We should always be aware of that and concerned. Indeed Satan and his evil agents are busy all around us. Pray, as we are taught in the model prayer of Jesus (Matthew 6:9-13) to help keep this evil one and his agents away.

Very valid points about this painting being well-know and what it could mean from en evil stand-point. This all said, it is a work teaching us about God. Revelations and the signs of what will come is also from our Father. Certain things must come to pass. God made us, God loves us and Jesus, his Son, came down upon request to die for our sins.

That is the most important item to be reminded of.

When the disciples themselves asked Jesus;

Matthew 22:
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Something is going to happen. For sure a galactic alignment. For sure fanfare beyond any doom date to date in recent memory. Y2k was not even doom of this kind, in theory. I guess it depends on ones definition of nothing!

My humble opinion...There is no way all of the ancient advanced cultures dated this time ( or around it) as the end of the age. It is so much more than just MAYAN. I do believe that this is the end of the age. That said, funny little thing about this tribulation period that was also foretold would come. It is a given time period. An extension if you will. A time that will try men's souls to see WHO they will call god. Holding open a "gate" a given key to mankind to do so would do the job in my opinion. I think that is exactly what is happening. This extra time is short...hold fast and beware of what and who brings the peace and safety.
