She & I had a very long discussion about this yesterday afternoon/evening. I also want to first add my daughter is a black belt, she's been doing karate since she was little. She also has a ccl. So no one freaks out, she is not allowed to carry her gun onto school property. She would be charged with a felony if she did so. We talked in depth about the pro's & con's of teachers being armed. The biggest con according to her is a student or students taking the gun from a teacher. She added "not so much of a problem for someone like me, but say someone like you or 'S'." 'S' is one of her friends who has a bad back. I'm old and although I have training, I'm not top notch anymore. She did say she didn't think this would be too big of a problem in grade school but was leary when it came to middle & high school. |
