This drug may also cause the following symptoms that are related to aggressive/violent behavior: Hyperactivity (uncommon) Impulse control problems (uncommon) Mania (uncommon) Restlessness (uncommon) I'm on the max dosage of fanapt 24mg per day and have NO inclination to do violence to anyone. Had a bit of that TD years ago when I was on risperdol. Face twitch. Not good can be permanent. Be careful missing any pills, drinking any alcohol or pot with it. Even just a sudden fluctuation in med levels can send things off AWOL.Mayo clinic does genetic tests now when using SSRI's and antipsychotics to see which enzyme P450 subsets you have to metabolize or not your pills and help assess how caffeine and OTC herbs can interact besides pot. Pot interferes and deactivates two major P450 subsets most of the antipsychotics use to metabolize. So if you chilled out with it AND took the wacko pills it targets you for trouble.About 10% of population are lacking in these pathways any way which a clue is it takes alot more pain medicine to work and much more to put you under anesthesia. IMHO the effects from these "magic"pills is WORSE by far than the situation they are given to "ïmprove".Suppose you took these pills for depression. You would be far worse off depressed if when you returned to your body or senses to find while you were 'absent' you slaughtered your family or town folks. |

[link to www.primarypsychiatry.com] See how complicated this is?All ethical psychiatrists would be doing these specific $1500 genotyping tests you use to figure out what is safe for the community AND the recipient. Most pill pushers are just after the buck and do the least work not caring what maniac you turn into as that gives them just more business to treat. Look how much business the whole industry gets just over this shooting. They are leaping for joy...more families to get hooked on their mega expensive effects pills. Now we have Fanapt to thank for keeping the media employed, the cops employed, the shrink wards and talk tanks over grief, etc. Look at all the jobs it just gave to all those at risk for no job Americans. |

Quoting: Nexus-9 Prescription-Drug-Induced Violence Medicine's Best Kept Secret? Data Based Medicine Americas Ltd. announces free online tool to show possible links between prescription drugs and violence. Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) November 12, 2012 RxISK.org, the first free independent website for researching and reporting prescription drug side effects, has added a Violence Zone to demonstrate and collect data on the links between prescription drugs and violent thoughts and behavior — from mild to suicidal or homicidal. “Violence and other potentially criminal behavior caused by prescription drugs are medicine’s best kept secret,” says Dr. David Healy, a world-renowned psychiatrist who has written extensively about the lack of data in evidence-based medicine, including in his latest book, Pharmageddon. Healy says this is a global issue, with medical, legal, ethical, and profound public policy dimensions. “Never before in the fields of medicine and law have there been so many events with so much concealed data and so little focused expertise.” Can prescription drugs cause you to kill someone? “Absolutely”, says Healy. (emphasis added) [link to www.prweb.com] This site is an excellent resource. It needs to be kept up front in this thread, I think. Just reading the personal experiences will give you the willies, just knowing that hundreds of thousands of people in schools, offices, supermarkets, public transportation are on this poison. *** WaterLily *** |

I promise I wouldn't be angry when coming down like off whatever strange cocktail these pharmacists come up with. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3960495 I believe weed needs to be legalized just for these type situations. Me too! How many people discussed this over a bunch of alcohol and got terrible headaches the next day and a hangover! Did your parents move to a new town where you didn't know anybody? Were you given all the material things you could ever desire, but isolated from family and society at large? Was your relationship with the only person in your life based on target practice and guns? Were you given drugs to shut you up so you could fit into society...or did somebody actually care and try to help you in other ways too?
