Did Patrick Geryl just fail (NO EQ on the 17/18th) ? | |
| GS User ID: 4731920 12/22/2012 10:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What a joke. In the last few months when journalists began to ask actual myans about the 2012 myan calendar 'countdown' they had no idea what the journalist was talking about. As of December 22 I do not see any updates on Patrick Geryls website. ![]() |
| Curious but skeptical User ID: 30183209 12/23/2012 11:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Uhmm ... here I am 12/23/2012 at 11:12 EST (USA) - 6.8 EQ in Vanuatu, 12/21, 207+ KM deep. Nothing bigger than that for long time, most less than 6.0. As a statistician, I understand averages, ranges, prediction .. blah blah blah. As dabbler in astrology, I "get" PG's ideas about conjunctions, squares, etc., playing a role. His website has removed several (if not all) video's associated with solar flare, predictions, etc. ("user removed" appears when you click on the giddy-up-&-go button). One commenter likened PG to Noah, and the rest of us to the poor flotsam & jetsam left behind to drown in the Flood. I really would appreciate an update from PG himself, or someone in contact with him currently - just a comment. No excuses, explanations, revisions. Just a comment. If this topic was important enough to post and hype for months, then isn't it important enough to comment upon, here 1-2 days after "the date" predicted" for the 10+ (yes, it was noted on his list as a "plus")? If he is approaching this whole topic as a "scientist" and scholar, then he is obligated **not to run away and hide with "no comment"** when/if his prediction(s) prove to be incorrect. Most predictions about every topic ever studied prove to be incorrect. It's honing the models so that prediction rate improves that is critical. And interesting to the serious among us. There will always be detractors and critics - so what? Patrick: please surface and make some sort of comment on where your theory is at this point. Otherwise, I agree this is an inflated media hype to the Nth degree. No matter whether it pans out or not. Science is **objective** - not afraid of looking at the actual data once it is collected and analyzed. |

Science is **objective** - not afraid of looking at the actual data once it is collected and analyzed. I've always likened the Mayan dooms day to Noah. Some scholar do believe Noah's flood was indeed one of the destructions of Mayan's world I mean come on it took forty days of non-stop rain and flood to accomplish a cleansing in Noah's time (and we still don't know if it's just ME region or whole planet), Back then there were a lot less people, lower survival technologies, and now fools want something to just happen in one day to wipe this slate clean. Nothing was observed in the past two days so everybody started crying mommy. Do they even know what they were wishing for??? |
