Re: The Rose and the Cross
i've now read the 'master of life' and I have previously read 'secrets of the Rosicrusions' written by Magus Incognito which , of course, is an approved RC publication.

Is the philosophy of the Masons identical with RC? There is a mason lodge in my area, but I doubt there is an RC temple or even organized group due to the small size of the town in which i reside. ...so i am leaning toward masonry if the philosophy is identical.

any insight on this?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18371059

The philosophy is slightly different yet all the same. RC is more the spiritual aspect of Masonry. Masonry is more the historical avenue.
But please I beg you to understand none of this is the way God. You would find it is of many Gods.

if you could be so kind as to provide the clearest example that you know of which RC practices conflict with Christian beliefs?

I would appreciate it. I do realize that it appears that vanity is the foundation of RC/masonry and to build one's own kingdom which implies willfullness.

but..i would appreciate something specific...and example of the contradiction of RC/masonry with Christianity

Re: The Rose and the Cross
The most I can say on that is you are told to sing to a pharaoh like you would God and you are also told to praise this individual.

Not to mention you are taught things God wants to keep sacred.

That's all I can say. Please hear me. I've been through it. It didn't feel right.

Re: The Rose and the Cross
I'm not recruiting this is a personal decision one has to make if they are interested. I often say that I only joined to see what all the hype was. I have also said that this is the devils work. So be careful what you wish for. I know and love God the father, and perhaps i was wrong to make it look glamouris. I did it and no longer practice my husband does. I believe in praying to God the father and Christ. These groups do as well but they include all Gods. I feel terrible for not clarifying. Thanks for the negative Karma it opened my eyes.

Hmm, if you cannot get beyond such basic illusions of duality, you have not been understanding what you have been taught. Also, were that cross to have been an RC cross it would have had the rose in the center unfolding. And you should know what that represents.

That "dweller" wouldn't happen to be a old serpent... right?

Yes the cross looked off to me. All I meant to do was release a little of the secrecy behind it all through questions. This is a conspiracy board and people though few are interested in the secrecy. I wanted to shed light on it that was all. But if someone asks me how to become one I'm not going to deny them the answer, although I should have put my warning first. I have gotten beyond the illusion of duality, I have been studying for a long time. I have learned more things then humans should know. But thank you for your reply.

First a response to Rochelle, thank you for your candid responses.

Second to the poster above,

duality, being an illusion is certainly something that can be understood and superceded.

the problem is that RC/Masonry is the 'great work' to BUILD further illusory constructs...to perpetuate VANITY in an unreal venue.

through many years of introspection, it is has become obvious to me that RC/Masonry is simply the result of centuries of collaboration of men who have come to understand the 'keys' of the illusory universal construct in order to then manipulate it into serving their personal agrandizement.

simply put, RC/masonry is willfullness and to follow Christ is willingness. RC/masonry is 'mancraft'...vain pursuits using the equations of time and space ....

although the RC way does explain that one day their personal 'Godhood' will also end and return to the source..they do not mention the path of Christ which is to simply learn the simple lessons and return to the source. ...(without PERPETUATING the illusion)

what say ye?

it is as if something is compelling me to walk that path for a reason other than that which is obvious.

Re: The Rose and the Cross
I'm pretty out of touch with the whole "freemasonry" deal and I don't know what type of knowledge Freemasons and RC deal with.

But your offer of information intrigued me, and I think I'd like to take a swing, regardless. There IS something I would like to know.

The hero of the story, Gilgamesh, refuses the love of the goddess Ishtar. He gives many reasons, but among them, is this one:

'Thou has loved the lion, mighty in strength', says the hero Gilgamesh to Ishtar, 'and thou hast dug for him seven and seven pits!'

Ishtar seems like a real spoiled brat of a goddess, who gets whatever she wants. One would think that, surely, she would find a new lover, and dig an eighth pit, as unlike the mighty lion, her latest lover would not fit in seven and seven pits.

Her latest lover would only fit in seven and eight pits, of this I'm fairly sure.

D.Rose has an awesome crossover, but he is forced to sacrifice his body much more than bigger softer stars who get to the freethrow line 20+ times a game despite being predominantly jumpshooters and failing to even show the ability to finish the shots that they are attempting ala Rose & Jordan-esque.

But in his absence the Bulls have remained competitive patiently awaiting his return.
