I really am starting for feel bad for Menow.

Psychological profiling no doubt put him in this job, anti-social tendencies notwithstanding but rather due to them. However, not only will this job reinforce these tendencies, gerontologists attest to the fact that as he ages, his personality will crystallize, or get more pronounced. So Menow, the longer you act like a POS, the chances increase dramatically that you will become a much worse POS, and since anti-social tendencies are inversely related to one's ability to find meaningful companionship, you're going to become even more bitter. It's a downward spiral with no good end in sight.

So as Menow lies in his alcohol-induced pool of vomit on Christmas morning, all alone, and realizes that I'm right, I hope he realizes-- on the day we celebrate honesty and love coming into our world-- that God once loved him. And if he hasn't completely disgusted the our Creator, I hope he asks for forgiveness and help.

There's always hope.

^This. I collected precise astrometric data of the sun's position offline the other day before I started my banned broadcast. I'll analyze it later today, but it'll be interesting to see how many posters here ignore the results.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

Alright, here's the results! On the 19th I recorded the sun shortly before sunset. At 4:27:00pm eastern time (21:27:00 UT), I disengaged the telescope's tracking system and allowed the earth's rotation to take over. Here's the image of the sun at the moment I disengaged the tracking:
[link to i319.photobucket.com]
1 hr 47 min 35 sec later (at 6:14:35pm eastern time, 23:14:35 UT) these stars passed through the field of view:
[link to i319.photobucket.com]
Overlaying these two images allowed me to compare the sun's detected position to its predicted position with Cartes du Ciel and indeed the sun is right where it should be:

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....

You do realise that a star of the Sun's mass will take hundreds of millions of years to climb from main sequence to Red Giant.

But this numpty 'Pane' says it will happen within the next 2 day???

Even if the process was to begin on 23rd (It won't) we would all be long gone before any real effects were felt.

However since almost 2 years I've noticed that the Sun is running out of the max extension in degrees relative to the horizon on the 21 june (west to north @ sunset) and the 21 dec (east to south @ sunrise) almost in about of 15 degrees.

SO normally in each of these seasonal time of the year (Summer and Winter), the Sun "goes out" (from east or west) in about 15 degrees, but actually, its 30 degrees in total on each starting season (so twice the normal).

Check out yourself now, the Sun is rising pretty South from East more than normally does in winter time.

 Quoting: DUCM900

So you're saying the maximum deviation is suppose to be only 15 degrees. Where are you getting your information from? Link?

"The size of the variation of the position of sunset to either side of due west is something which changes with latitude. The angle, 23.5 degrees that you remember is the tilt of the Earth's axis, and therefore the maximum deviation the Sun has above and below being directly over the Earth's equator. If you lived exactly at the equator, this angle would be the maximum azimuth the sunset moves from due West (ie. on Dec 21st, the sun sets 23.5 deg south of west at the equator, while on June 21st it sets 23.5 deg north of west), but north and south of the Equator the deviation is larger by a factor 1/cos(latitude)." [link to curious.astro.cornell.edu]

If you lived at the equator, the sunrise/sunset deviation would be 23.5 degrees. The farther you get from the equator, the greater the deviation. I live at a latitude of 30 degrees. Using the equation on the page I quoted from, we see that at my location the deviation is 27.1 degrees.

23.5/cos(30) = 27.1

That means the Sun will set 27.1 degrees south of due west for me on on Dec 21st, for a total shift of 54.2 degrees over a year.

Rome, Italy is at 41 degrees latitude. 23.5/cos(41) = 31.1 degrees deviation, with a total shift of 62.2 degrees over a year.
It is precisely because it is fashionable for Americans to know no science, even though they may be well educated otherwise, that they so easily fall prey to nonsense. They thus become part of the armies of the night, the purveyors of nitwittery, the retailers of intellectual junk food, the feeders on mental cardboard, for their ignorance keeps them from distinguishing nectar from sewage. — Isaac Asimov
