Also, for all the "debunkers" who are on here demanding irrefutable proof in the name of science, well, I AM a scientist (I have a BS and an advanced degree) and the first thing you learn as a scientist is that all science is based first upon observation.

Without observations first being made, there can be no hypotheses, experiments, or theories.

I hate it when closed-minded jerks get on forums and start talking about observation isn't real science. YES it is.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18771844

No one has said anything about observation not being real science.

Also, one more thing, a REAL scientist ALWAYS keeps an open mind, and if evidence comes forth that might suggest what he has always believed to be untrue, a real scientist doesn't sweep the observation under the rug. Only cowards who are afraid of the status quo being upset, or people who are at risk of losing something if the status quo is upset, bury evidence.

REAL scientists alway keep an open mind. ALWAYS. Even if it means their world may be turned upside down.

No, they ask for DOCUMENTATION and REPEATABLE EXPERIMENTATION! Have any? Didn't think so.

I think in all honesty its our atmosphere, the sun or both that have gone weird. Mega quakes, volcanoes waking up, mass animal deaths ( sea stars, octopus, birds etc etc) you name it. The sun rose 2 days early in greenland. The Norway Spiral. They discovered a magnetic highway at the end of the universe. Chemtrails. etc My point is we know without a doubt some shits going down you can't debunk that we are just trying to figure out why and how and if its all connected. The people on here trying to debunk so hardcore must be bored lawyers, call reps and bill collectors I can't imagine them being that annoying and not having one of those jobs to really form their unpleasant disposition haha

It's amazing how none of you wish to address facts, while you continue to imply that all your anecdotal reports and regurgitated rumors amount to such.

Why are you so afraid of having your ideas challenged?

To accurately establish the local time of sunset you need an unobstructed view of the horizon from ground level and a good timepiece.
The brightness of the sky is irrelevant, that depends on local atmospheric conditions.

What does not cut it is casual observation.

^This. I collected precise astrometric data of the sun's position offline the other day before I started my banned broadcast. I'll analyze it later today, but it'll be interesting to see how many posters here ignore the results.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

Alright, here's the results! On the 19th I recorded the sun shortly before sunset. At 4:27:00pm eastern time (21:27:00 UT), I disengaged the telescope's tracking system and allowed the earth's rotation to take over. Here's the image of the sun at the moment I disengaged the tracking:

1 hr 47 min 35 sec later (at 6:14:35pm eastern time, 23:14:35 UT) these stars passed through the field of view:

Overlaying these two images allowed me to compare the sun's detected position to its predicted position with Cartes du Ciel and indeed the sun is right where it should be:

Good song, What do you think of new pic?
 Quoting: Da fuq

Surely, very bright and you can feel it pretty much even if its winter time.

However since almost 2 years I've noticed that the Sun is running out of the max extension in degrees relative to the horizon on the 21 june (west to north @ sunset) and the 21 dec (east to south @ sunrise) almost in about of 15 degrees.

SO normally in each of these seasonal time of the year (Summer and Winter), the Sun "goes out" (from east or west) in about 15 degrees, but actually, its 30 degrees in total on each starting season (so twice the normal).

Check out yourself now, the Sun is rising pretty South from East more than normally does in winter time.

Same again here in the uk tonight....Still light even though it's overcast. The sky has a sort of a luminous look to it....It should be quite dark now with the cloud cover.....but it's still light,i can see outdoors really well. Strange. Also i have been feeling dizzy at times, they was a thread on here yesterday about people also experiencing the same sort of dizziness.
