The position of the highway in Newtown relative to the Sandy Hook Elementary School is very similar to the position of the highway in the "Sandy Hook district" of Gotham City relative to the football stadium that was the target of Bane's first srtike...

Not all the streets, just the HIGHWAY.

The highway isn't a match either though. Just the curve is similar, nothing else though.

That's quite interesting, but there are at least 7 cities on the East Coast named Sandy Hook. The Batman movie was based on an East Coast city like New York. It's not out of place if they were to create a fictional map.
