Does anyone else notice that all the Australians/New Zealanders on GLP are REALLY unpleasant?

I'll give you 3 examples that illustrate my point out of a lifetime of having to live in this rubbish country...

1- Helped and gave my time/knowledge to assist in a project to a newly acquired 'friend'. As soon as the project was completed, the 'friend' ended the 'friendship'. No thanks, nothing.

2- Offered up hundreds of dollars worth of spare items I had for someone who was building for 'charity' - After 2 unsuccessful attempts to offer parts that they needed and I had no use for, I decided to publicly make the offer known. Suddenly they want the parts... The Glory-hound mentality...wanna do it all themselves crap..lol

3 Last week I saw a woman pushing a child in a stroller with a huge heavy box on top, ready to topple leaving a store as I was entering. I asked wether she needed help at all. She ignored me, and shot a look like I just shat in her cereal...

I could literally write an Encyclopedia on how backwards( seriously- 20 yrs behind America in every way) and nasty the people in this country are...

So, yeah, I concur with OP.

- the reason I don't leave right now is I have family here, otherwise I'd leave for the States in a heartbeat...

If I would have read this a while back then I probably would have agreed with the OP, but I've grown accustomed to their no BS attitude. They say what they mean and that is a good thing.

No more unpleasant than any other person on this site.

Not nearly as unpleasant as the Canadians. The hatred most of them display for Americans is unrelenting. They take any and every opportunity to bash us, sometimes hijacking completely unrelated (to culture, that is) threads in order to make their acerbic little anti-American comments and quips. They revel in starting US vs Canada debates, and though we find the same thing from the many unpleasant America-hating Europeans on this forum and elsewhere, it pales in comparison to the bitter antagonism from our northern neighbors. I just don't understand it. I had always liked Canada and Canadians until I came to this forum and witnessed their utterly ruthless, downright classless and completely unwarranted attacks against Americans, usually for the most petty of reasons.
