A well known side effect of these pills is that they shut down the part of the brain that can tell right from wrong.

We all get urges to do bad things, that's part of human nature. A person with a normal brain pushes them aside, or only carries them out in our imagination. (Ever wish your boss got the flu?)

Take a person, remove his conscious, and you have a psychopath. That's what they drugs are doing, creating psychopaths

Then why is it that they always do evil and not good?

The law of averages suggests that half would do random acts of kindness instead of mass murder.

Some people are just evil.

Anti depressants are usually prescribed with an anti-psychotic for just such a reason. I wonder why these people weren't on anti-psychotics. Deliberate?

Adam Lanza did not shoot anyone while on meds, because no one died at Sandy Hook. Anyone perpetrating the "massacre" story is part of the problem.

I have been on several of these meds and I never killed anyone. Same with other thousands of people.

The later picture of the school pictures looked like his eye were dilated. It made is eyes appear brownish. He looked drugged and unhappy. He didn't seem alive and animated. He looked dead inside. The same with the theater shooter.

I think some people must have different side effects from most on some of these drugs.

Sorry but this is bullshit. Studies have shown that drug-free therapy (such as meditation, breathing, anger management, yoga, exercise, etc) are actually more effective at relieving depression than the drugs are. With zero side effects and dependence.

I know a person that began taking meds for depression after his mom died. While it is hard to lose a parent at any age, he was in his mid 50's, so it wasn't totally unanticipated.

After the initial prescription given following his moms death, his doctor sent him to a psychiatrist. She then changed, refilled, and upped the meds for a couple of years. He progressively became moodier, and more withdrawn. Not at all like the cheerful and 'normal' person he had been for his entire adult life prior to the meds.



Even after being warned by friends that it seems these changes started after he began the meds, he ignored any advice, and even got angry if it was brought up.

Drugs mask the underlying problem...it doesn't go away, it just numbs it for a while...like the dopers who are pushing to legalize pot for recreational use.
