Everest at 2 billion pixels
Unbelievable image. Just like you are there, without being cold or starved for oxygen. Click on the Panorama link, awesome.

To see how really clear this is, once in Panorama view, click on the + tab at the bottom and zoom in, incredible. I have a 25 megapixel Sony camera, which is very clear, and considered a very high pixel count for digital cameras, but this image is crazy clear. I want to see more, but can't find but this one.

Re: Everest at 2 billion pixels
I scanned to the far side of the valley, then zoomed in on an ice cliff, the picture did not break up at all. It was as if I was standing right in front of it. This almost breaks all the laws of optics. Can you imagine if this camera is what a mountain climbing photographer has access to, what the military has?

Once you zoom in, let it settle for a few seconds, to get the full affect.

It says in the article its an assembly of photographs, so I guess I was wrong about crazy clear optics, even though the original shots had to be done with state of the art camera's.

I still can't grasp how you can assemble a collection of photographs and get this detail, and keep the perspective wherever you zoom, even if shot with a Hassy with a 50MP digital back.

I would guess its that tall peak to the right of the frame, which seems to be the tallest of the bunch.

You can't, its flash, and can't be saved. But if you right click on the image, there are other viewing options, Like stereoscopic (3d).

You can save the photographer's link
