The Inevitable

A overreaching gun-ban is inevitable.

Initially they will grandfather in all assault weapons already owned. The first step is to get a weapon ban passed and accepted, which of course will be ineffective. After the next atrocity there will be calls for even greater restrictions on top of this initial ban. Since Democrats will maintain control of the Senate and the Presidency indefinitely, by 2020 to 2025 they will start confiscating guns...

Their initial going in position will be the ban of AR-15 and AK-47 type rifles. Add to this any clip greater than 10 rounds. Depending on how this goes over will dictate what they go for next, which likely will be to ban the ammunition for these guns as well as adding severe restrictions on hand guns.
