You need to do a full implementation of IPv6 for the intertubes, then ISPs can give you a public DCHP range to NAT out.

It means that when you turn on your internet connection, (cable modem, DSL router, POTS modem) your ISP gives you an IP address. This device talks to the internet with that one IP, and multiplexes to your two different computers. (either itself or with your own home networking)

You can ask your ISP to provide you two static IP addresses, but that would probably be more expensive than running two seprate internet connections (two cable modems, two DSL, etc)

Or you could implement IPv6 for the internet and then the ISP would be able to give you (for example) 10 public IPs easily and cheaply, which could be mapped to 10 computers.

Ok but is there anyway for the server to see each individual machine rather than 1 IP address for all incoming connections??

I don't think so.
People will just think you are in touch with your feminine side, or gay, or something. IDK

Its not really that hard. check it out on wiki. Problem is, you will likely have to do it for everybody at the same time.

Yes. every machine that you want your range of ten v6 IPs to work with. My uncle did it for me, but he said never to use transponder 9 unless it was important stuff.

This is a flaw. The forum software should well be able to sort different users masquerading behind the same IP. If not this is by design rather poor.

Do you share a router? If so and you want different IP's you need a hub instead and have your ISP give you two IP addresses. As mine does but I don't need to use both so I only run a cable-box and a router. When the PS3 was hooked up the hub was used so it had it's own IP.

Control panel/ network connections/ properties and put a check mark in the appropriate box (for xp)
