The two women [aunt and niece] were stopped because
a cigarette was thrown out the window. The trooper
did a search of the car for drugs but found none.
Then another trooper did the cavity search right
there on the side of a city road in full view of
the public.


" The suit also says Helleson failed to properly explain the extent of the search, telling Angel Dobbs, 38, "not to worry about" why she was putting on blue latex gloves.

"This intrusive cavity search occurred on the side of a public freeway illuminated by lights from the police vehicle in full view of the passing public," the lawsuit reads. "Moreover, this roadside body cavity search was done without her consent."

Treated like cattle on the side of the road for nothing more than a cigarette butt out the window. What ever happened to just getting a ticket? The alledge smell of pot does not warrant sticking your fingers up someone's ass on the side of the road. Both of those Troopers should be fired and the bitch who did it should be tried for rape.

This can't possibly be legal!

I think the only recourse we have is to sue the police departments doing these things.

Firstly...who wouldn't want to strip search the niece? Second why did they not question this??? Unless I'm getting arrested no one is going to touch me.....even then I wont be quiet about it.

he looked half in disbelief and half in shock.

I'm one of those who thinks... or used to think...

A lot of major wildfires have started with some moran throwing out a cigarette from a car. Bitches played with fire and got burned.

I"ve been a victim of the "cig out the window" trick on the west side of Houston. I'm blond, female, and was coming home after band rehearsal, after midnight.
I was stopped without cause three times that night. They couldn't see the man sleeping in the passenger side until they stopped me. The first two waved me on.
They called a rookie up the road close to home. He set up to watchn me coming in. A friend of his in a pick up pulled in front of me, tossed a cigarette out his window, and I was pulled over.
The rookie said I tossed it. I wasn't smoking, and had run out of cigarettes.
He made me get in his police car. Really. I was straight and sober. He kept checking around and took my purse out of the car and dumped everything on our car's hood.
then, after he couldn't find anything better to do, he wrote a ticket for bs. turns out, the ticket was a goof he had made with a previous driver, and he had to do something with the screwed ticket. It took a frickin year to get it dropped.
I'm sure it much worse now. I try not to drive at all if I can avoid it.

This makes me aboslutely sick. Welcome to the new America. Know your rights!

Oh it pisses me off when people throw their cigarette butts out the window. It's nasty and I have even found that crap stuck in the grill of my car before. I flash my lights and act like an ass for a mile or two, but littering and claiming a whiff of pot is not justification for a body cavity search on the side of the frigging road in full view of every car driving by.

I'm a fifth generation Texan.

When I was growing up... police did "protect and serve."

Now it seems there is a new slogan: "oppress and violate."

And to add fuel to the fire... now many of our oppressive taskmasters are Mexicans.

At the San Antonio airport I was ordered to remove part of my clothing by a Mexican
who could barely speak English.

When I lived in Los Angeles the police there were very diverse. I've come across Mexican and Asian cops whom you can barely understand and get upset when you don't comprehend them. I think they need to hire only fluent English speakers enough of this multiculturalism bullshit.
