An answer won't convert you, only the Holy Spirit can convict you of truth and draw your soul toward God.

Since we may only have less than a week left, I suggest you go to a quiet place, rid yourself of distractions, and with sincerety before God, inquire of him the truth of salvation.

He is real and His word is true.

In His Word, He likens His relationship with us as a father, a caring father, and His children.

He only asks that we trust in Him and follow His Word.

It is because He cares for us that He has given us a roadmap for how to live a happy life (His Word).

Okay perhaps, this probably isn't the answer you're seeking, but lets look at this with a little common sense, shall we?

Is it better for a man to have die and having not believed in Jesus when he dies loses his soul because of his refusal to accept and believe in Jesus, who is the only acceptable way/ sacrifice that God himself set forth as the only means of salvation.

Or, is it better for the man who dies, and is risen to eternal life through Jesus because he chose wisely too believe!

Which man in the end choose correctly for himself?

Bottom line is that in the end you will have everything to lose by not believing in Son of God,(Jesus) and you have absolutely nothing to lose by believing in him! (You will actually Win!)

And just an added point for all of you non-believers/scoffers, yes its true were all gonna die someday, and if your right that there is no God, no Jesus than you will have won this argument and lost nothing, you will still be dead

But if your wrong, and there is a God, and there is a Jesus, as Christian believe, then you just made a (HELL) of a mistake in error of your own understanding.

Either way it's a "Hell of Chance" to take if your wrong!

Like the previous poster said, who are you gonna choose, God or the government.

I take it one of the reasons you're on this site is because you're looking for the truth. Obviously, you won't get it from the media OR from the government. Just look at all of the conflicting information circulating about the Newtown killings! Keep in mind that this information is being reported by the news media who are supposed to be relaying the facts.

We all know that there's only ONE truth. Some of those reporters are most definitely lying!

I don't think I have to remind you of all of the lies the government tells!

Now, compare them to the word of God!

God is not man, that he should lie,

Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

So if you really are interested in the TRUTH, you'll be overjoyed when you come to know Him who IS truth!

Only you might have the answer to that question. In a moment of quiet, you might receive an answer...

Why don't I believe? Who has hurt me? What stands between me and God? Do I doubt? Am I scared? Do I feel that He is far? Do I need proof? What is faith...how do I have faith, what do I need?

Ask Him, alone, in whatever way you wish, whatever questions you have that you alone need answers for. He will answer you, I promise.

You don't need a "believable reason," you need faith. Faith is found through prayer and seeking God with your own heart.

To be guided by love, is to be guided by God. If you seek the Kingdom of God first above other things, the course of events in your life will seem to gracefully fall into place around you according to Divine Providence.

On the other hand, to be guided by fear, is to be guided by the rulers of this world. The rulers of this world would have you live in scarcity, fear, and distrust.

One path leads to life; the other to destruction

Every good thing comes from God.

Sex, Laughter, Love, Marijuana, Sun Shine, Good health, Mercy, Respect, Freedom, Glory, Self Esteem, Life, Confidence, Stability, Creativity, Excitement. etc etc.

He will deliver you from death into life if you trust that Jesus died for your sins and you repent.

He will never disown you like the earth. He will always be there. You can tell him anything, God is the perfect traveling partner.

No one here knows what the kingdom of heaven is like. But we have faith it will be full of awesomeness.

If you die in sin your letting everyone who's hated you win.
