My backyard is the northern Ontario wilderness so that argument don't fly with me. I've lived up north now for 6 years after spending 40 years living in the city. Though I've come across bear and moose while out hiking, I feel much safer here than I ever did walking in Toronto.

It's a real eagle but the kid was a remote controlled buggy entrappment kind of deal

The eagle sees the eyes on the hat, hits the kid from behind and you can see it looking down at what it's caught, realizes it's not a real (normal) prey animal before dropping the kid.

It could have easily flown off with a kid that small.

So the moral of the story, do not put hats on kids that look like food to eagles.

I know, he took FOREVER. Plus, why didn't he pick the child up and carry him over to his little bed instead of leaving him alone so the eagle could pick him up a second time? Dad needs to jump start his adrenalin. His reactions SUCK!

Wow, that eagle was totally lifting that kid off the ground!

If the bird had gotten a better grip it would have probably had the ability to lift the kid pretty high up. That child is very lucky he only went up a foot or two.

That's crazy though, I never would have believed something like that was possible. Now I'm sure birds really have snatched up twirps and carried them off, never to be seen again.
