some people who have major depression can be pretty much invisible for years... your whole world tends to shrink to the size of a room....it's hard to imagine being in that state if you're not...

personally if i hear that someone killed their mum, i'd ask the question, why? Did the mother do something really bad to the kid? (I'm not saying this is what happened here, just a hypothetical case) Because in a normal family that wouldn't happen. It doesn't surprise me at all that there aren't records of classes or friends for the past three years. The kid had Aspergers, and people with such a disorder tend to be loners (nobody can stand to be around them for long). They often don't have the social skills or emotional make-up to hold down a job nor to take post-secondary classes without supervision. They can very easily snap over little things. Just yesterday, one of my Asperger's kids attacked another student just for telling him it was his turn on an assignment.

Plus, once those kids hit puberty, their problems can really intensify because of hormones and growth spurts. It takes awhile to stabilize, and he must have been having great difficulty.

Look, this is not a mystery. The kid is now out of school. He is momma's boy playing in the basement for the 3 years following. He doesn't need a job because his mom is getting all that alimony. He is the quintessential son in the basement.
It is not a crime to be "off the grid." This is just another attempt by the MSM to label anyone who values their privacy or who doesn't elect to be a member of society to be a threat.
