You are you, as we all are, and we are all a mish mash of different political ideals. I find it almost impossible to find a person to vote in that represents my own political views.

For what it is worth, labels get co-opted and stolen all the time, either to gerrymander elections or destroy a form of political identity that has become a threat.

It is all done to exclude those who have alternate views and ensure the electorate return the types of people already in power.. it is a system that is very protective of itself.

At the moment the threat in the UK is from UKIP and we see that political ideology being attacked all the time in the media, and in my opinion we see the same thing happening with libertarianism in America.

Sadly I think they will all go the same way as Liberalism which is now nothing more than a swear to some.. however contrast this, in the UK my views are deeply liberal, but if I travel to the US they'd seem more libertarian.

Deeply liberal around here means being a firm believer in all the freedoms, a firm believer in smaller governments, a firm believer in less bureaucracy and cutting all the red tape that constrains us and business and a firm believer in protecting our culture and heritage.
