Serious Questions,....Answer if you can. We all search for the "meaning of life", do we not?
If we all reside in an illusion,

What are the differences one experiences being in an "illusion", being "aware" of an "illusion" and being out of one?

If what "is" exactly around us is "real", is it a shared perception locally, globally?

Please discuss, whether your input is scientific, theoretical or philosophical.

There is no difference. We re all inside the illusion that TPTB have created. Some are aware of the illusion and some are not, yet we are all still here. And yes the perception is shared. Everyone on all parts of the globe, in all walks of life universally believe the world is going to end. Is that not a shared perception of the grand illusion?

Interesting.......so to sum up your thoughts..

we are all living in a globally shared perception of this "illusion"?

Is there a such thing as being "aware" of this illusion at different levels?

Is it finite or...?

Side note......STYX - Grand Illusion, just awesome, let me know what you come up with.

My perception of reality is not static enough to discuss. Like chasing a bar of soap in a bathtub.

Yes, the media is fake, the news is fake, there is illusion around us.

But your life, your family, the town you grew up in, your friends, THEY'RE REAL.

The whole "everything is an illusion" thing is bullshit.
They want you so confused, so distrusting of everything, including your own senses, that you just give up and let them win. Why bother fighting if it's all fake, right?

being aware, means you addressed all possible influences on you. Those from your environment, from other souls around, from events you see, from media feed.. public oppinion ..all this is shaping us...
most important is your own perception of the world
(renders your projection of it inside (and your relation to it))

if you understand your reactions (behaviour)
welcome aboard, now it really started for you

You feel that the "illusion" is compartmentalized? At what level does it begin. Are you talking just about the "information" we're given?

I understand what you are addressing. I've felt this way for quite a long time, from a very young age.

Do you feel you are just an "actor" playing your part? Do you feel you are the one in control or being controlled?

Sometimes I wake from a dream that felt more real than what I awake to. But it slips away. And I cannot remember it. But just because I cannot remember, or think it, I know it is still more real than what I hold now.

yes we are all in this globally shared illusion. Being aware of the illusion is the first step (Perfect example is the Matrix) but the question is....how deep into the rabbit hole are you willing to go?

Nothing is ever finite. The power to break from this illusion is within every person. After all it is a mind game, even that bullhorn guys says so.

(EDIT: STYX is the shit. Pulled out my vinyl but I drew no conclusions or connections with the topic)

Do you feel that our "perception" of what is more real to us, being our dreams or our "awake" life depends upon where we are at in our lives? For example, if we feel that our awake life is going pretty shitty, then we are more drawn to our dreams holding more meaning for us?

it happened
i comply to it (85% sure i am soul using suiting bodies)

holding few alternatives (how our reality can really bear any sense).. with these few alternatives (be it that with souls or higher forms of life, nurturing our progress) i compare them with the real world manifestations (media, events, people, moral impact on individual mind - collective manifestation of it..)..trying to something.. but no way knowing what do i represent... till i implemented souls alternative.. and really trying to live with this in mind (walking example style, transparent behvaiour, smiling, without watching TV sometimes, i laready lost contact with the negative aspects in my life)

i understood it here as a chance
for the precise values it gives me (light shows me)
yes we evaluate all the time (brains work)
we mediate something noble (while in here.. hidden for bodies, mission for a soul, or a soul group..can be really hieaarchical - souls stages - bodies witnessed events)

i think the fact dreams feel more real is that they are 100% yours. everything you "see" so to speak, your brain created. they are a product of your own.

If the illusion can be likened to the shadows on the cave's wall in Plato's parable, those that wake up to the illusion and see the real world outside the cave KNOW the difference without the slightest doubt.

So, is it not theoretically possible that our brain has created everything around us; that we are really and truly "alone"?

This being said, would that not make me "godlike" (no pun intended, well, maybe a little) and this is just my "production"? (sorry, couldn't help myself)

Are "you" really there or are you just a creation in my mind? How could one tell?

If we all reside in an illusion,

What are the differences one experiences being in an "illusion", being "aware" of an "illusion" and being out of one?

If what "is" exactly around us is "real", is it a shared perception locally, globally?

Please discuss, whether your input is scientific, theoretical or philosophical.

Philosophical/Spiritual

What is the difference:
Being in an illusion= when we are in one and we are ignorant of it (Truman Show, Truman's childhood)
Being aware of an illusion = we are still in the illusion but we know we are in it (Truman show, Truman notices that everyone is acting and events are staged)
Being out of an illusion = Metaphorically, the creators of the "Truman Show" and the actors and viewers are "out" of the illusory world of Truman. Truman also leaves the illusion when he climbs up the stairs and goes through the door of stage set. But technically, all these people are just in another "illusory world" of their own creation.

Technically, you are only outside of the "illusion" when you outside of time and you are in "eternal being" and you are in a pure conscious state, or a state of love.

What we call "reality" is a combination of a shared perception that is agreed upon by the collective consciousness globally and the Creator's creation. But the Creator's creation and what we end up perceiving or conceiving of is different than the Creator's original conception or plan.

That's a mouthful, but I like it! So, your belief is that their is an original "creator" that created us and not the other way around?
