i believe the reason an alcoholic refers to themself as an alcoholic is so that they do not have to take responsablity for there actions...
..the blame is shifted (because it is given a name)
..that way they can blame the booze instead of making the choice to make a change in there life

..and yes, i do know more than 1 alcoholic!!!
..it killed both of my parents by the time i was 26
..but i also know ppl who have made the desition to STOP

...so yes it can be done!!

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN EX-ALCOHOLIC, JUST A SOBBER ONE!!
