Quoting: Nanna-Ree i dont realy understand the 3 days of darkness thing...take it, it`s some religius thing about God and the Bible etc... and so i was wondering how does the sun just go out world wide for 3 days?...doesnt realy sit right with me to be honest... can darkness not be in referance to "being kept in the dark" ..lack of communication - no tv, interent, radio, forms of comunication...compleatly cut of from everyone and everything save the ppl u see out on the street that know about as much as you do.... is that something that can be done on a globle scale? im not talking about sun flares knocking out the grids...just a complete shut down...causing total confussion i also started to play with the idea of every1 going deaf...something causing you to go deaf for a set period of time...but i dont know about that one lol i just dont see 3 days of darkness as meaning blackness.. any thoughts, feedback, opinions? We can't do it at global scale but SUN can do it. |

I read somewhere that maybe our minds/memories will be erased. That'll work. Quoting: BadMoonRising 4583236 It means that Obama is such an arrogant prick and thinks the world loves him so much that he will run three days straight of all his famous speeches. THAT would be enough to get ANYone to repent. |

Nanna-Ree (OP) User ID: 30309518 Sweden 12/19/2012 06:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ...or could it mean that it will take us 3 days to travel through the dark rift gallaxy centre thingy??? i know its not quite as simple as that but..... oh!!...so many questions, so few anwsers!!! "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair… |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1762228 Hungary 12/19/2012 06:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So the winter solstice is always on the 21st/22nd of December (exact astronomical time can vary), which is the time of the year when the night is the longest. Up to this point, every day is getting darker and darker. But it takes a turn at this day, and gradually, the light starts to grow more every day. But still, for a few days, people cannot be sure the light is coming back into their life, watching the horizon, every morning and night, they can't see the difference right away (unless they are astronomers with very precise and accurate telescopes and instruments) it takes about 3 days to be sure that the light is coming back, to see some little difference. And from the winter solstice, it is 3 days to 25th of December, to the birth of Jesus. (at least the day the Christian world celebrates as his birth, I know many say he wasn't really born this day, but it doesn't really change the fact that still the 25th is celebrated as his bd) For those of us who believe and follow him, his birth brings light and hope to our lives. One of the names that was given to him during medieval times is 'Sol Justitiae' / 'Sun of Justice'. so if I look at the 3 days of darkness theory this way, it might seem our life really gets dark for these days, but after that, the light ultimately wins and starts to grow, and we don't need to worry, because our Savior is born. |
