Institutions can to be nice places, where the mentally ill can lead productive lives. Dorethia Dix had great ideas- [ link to www.indyweek.com] Drugs were supposed to allow everyone to return to the community. That has not worked out. Institutions or psych wards are places where extremely high level of toxic drugs are Forced on you! These drugs mess up your brain chemistry, and if taken as prescribed, can ruin your life. Many of these drugs commonly cause unbearable side effects, mental deterioration and violence.
