The rebels fighting to topple Assad's regime have pressed hard against the regime in the past weeks, capturing air bases and military installations in and around Damascus. Their offensive in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk in southern Damascus, which began Friday, is aimed at driving out a pro-government Palestinian faction. ... more at link Propaganda b.s! Can you give us more details about the situation there? Greek and Greek Orthodox community in Syria say that the situation that the MSM are describing is very far from the truth. My family says the military has been out in full force in the Damascus area, and with the exception of the car bombs that have taken place, there hasn't been much gunfire in those areas. Sometimes at night. Life is going on as usual, the kids are still in school, my cousins are still working, so are my aunts and uncles. In rural Syria is where the problem is, its easy for the rebels to take over small towns and either push people out of their homes or take them hostage. They're coming in from Turkey so around the Syrian-Turk border there is a lot of conflict. Damascus is down south closer to Jordan, Lebanon, and Israel. The threat is that they will flood into Damascus, and I fear for my family, but the Syrian army is doing a good job of keeping them at bay. This crises has been going on for over a year and they have still not been able to seize Damascus and the surrounding area. It is not favoring well for the rebels, but they are wearing down the Army slowly. Of course, when you have the U.S feeding you $ and weapons they can probably last forever. Bottom line is, there were legit protests in Syria that got hijacked and manipulated by Western media, but now....whether or not you were unhappy with Assad before they overwhelmingly support him- especially in this. Even some western media is reporting it...I think it was ABC that put out a news report that said "over 70% of people in Aleppo are with the President" so why then are we over there? At one moment we condemn Al qaeda...the next we're saying theyre in Syria and we support them. The US has never been good at keeping a consistent story. Just like Iraq, Libya, & Egypt. |

The UN and the States, are sending aid supporting the rebels(who are Muslim brotherhood/jihadist) in overthrowing the Syrian government...therefore installing a radical Muslim rebel force in charge of Syria? Is that right? Quoting: TheCartel that's the way I see it. Our tax money is being used to fund the rebels.... |

[link to en.wikipedia.org] I assume the ones in the vid are targeted by Russia from space and they could be the new border patrol as manned craft are being fired on. Iran has home-grown versions along with hi-speed torpedoes. When is the UN going to say they will entirely fund a large Russian peacekeeping force in Syria? The French will have to pull out when their part in the STL starts being exposed on the stand. One question is all it would take. "Produce the results of the bomb blasts you did that were based on the assassination at the heart of the matter. There goes them having commandos inside Syria committing acts of war. Seems the US took one act as being the justification for a war that is 10 years long and still going on? Any chance the UN will web-cast all world events (ICC especially) and open a forum like this to go along with them expanding their video collection and availability as they should be keeping archives of all vids that might be of interest to somebody, the closer they are to the ICC the better. (just in case utube loses their archives) Just raw data that hasn't even been cleared by the courts yet but having viewers doing the filtering saves the 'staff' time and effort. Basically public opinion prevails before a court decision happens, knowing that is going to make some people nervous about doing something and knowing it will most likely be recorded by somebody. Say 15 seconds on each side of your vid would be telling in the sincerity of the speech giver. Do you think all the 'God is Great' is really said by people on site or is it dubbed in between recording and broadcast. If live who is teaching these clowns, what ever happened to hand signals and coyote howls when infiltrating enemy territory? Last Edited by MHz on 12/19/2012 02:21 PM |
