Ask him how he likes the New Black Panthers replacing the KKK as the unofficial terrorist wing of the Democrat Party and if he sees the similarity in racial / socialist rhetoric and intimidation common to both groups

Kudo's to you and mad props for asking my question. I'm not going to rewrite it but that dude was coming cool, calm and morally. Nothing wrong with what he said on that interview!

Ask him if he has ever really tried to get to know a black person for any length of time; ever sat down with them and shared a meal or a cup of coffee?

Ask him if he thinks he and a black man both pray to the same God.

Good job with this insightful and surprising interview.
He seems a lot more moderate than I would have thought him to be. The 21st century Klan seems to have morphed into something different from its past image.

I grew up in the South and while we never knew any Klansmen (or didn't know it if they were) people were very aware of their existence and were for the most part a bit wary of them even if they agreed with some of their beliefs.

They appear to have a somewhat more tolerant outlook now probably due to their support of the Constitution which I never heard stressed by their group before. Obviously they have more effective PR now, but they do seem to have matured.

The questions asked of him allowed him to expound on the organizations core beliefs and revealed some unexpected facets of the KKK group.

Wow, what a great interview! Not at all what I expected, and I have to admit to have respected all that was said.

Am I still incredibly skeptical of a Klan that has been touted for so long to be hate mongers and the like? Of course. It would be great to think that an organization with such a sordid past (at least one that may or may not have been distorted by the media, which i also believe to be very,very possible- and with the help of renegade and ignorant "members" from the past) is actually a group that wants to protect our Constitution, is God-fearing in a way that I personally agree with, and is led by a leader who seems to be intelligent and empathetic without waivering in his views.

That would be great. I can't help but think though, that of course anyone being asked to represent and answer for one group will only put forward the best angle of said group...what if a person were to join only to find out later there were dire consequences for wanting to back out due to conflicts with their own morals and values?

I don't know, but I do feel better informed and have altered my view of the KKK to the extent that I at least want to do more research to satisfy my own curiousity...
