And this coming from someone who never drinks sodas unless I have a horrible chest cold. Found it in my book on home remedies. Apparently it has some medicinal benefits. Just have a small glass full a couple times a day. The Coke will help break up the phlegm in your lungs and you will have a more productive cough. Also, if like me and you can't really taste anything when you're sick, that soda will taste delicious. Drink lots of pure chicken broth too. Hope this helps and feel better soon! |

People please do not drink Coke or any soft drink when healthy let alone when you're sick. |

When I was young, and I got sick, the first thing I had when I could start to drink liquids again was 7-Up or Sprite or something similar. Anyway, as far as what helped soothe my sore throat when I was sick practically all December of last year is some warm, but not hot, lemonade with honey mixed in it. I also drunk lots of tea with honey. |

| ninnie User ID: 29004990 12/19/2012 02:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry if I am repeating the remedy too lazy to read the thread. Dice an onion and place it in a bowl and sprinkle brown sugar all over it, maybe about 3 tablespoons or so, and wait for the sugar to become a syrup and take of the syrup, this is a natural antibiotic and helps for your problems. For sore throats we use vinegar, salt and hot water and gargle, it is the best, all pain goes, it must be hot, salty and vinegary for the effect. It also helps if you could sleep with a humidifier on especially if the air is dry, and you could use drops in the water, speak to your pharmacy. When my kids got sick with flu and coughs I used to sterilise the whole house with antiseptic wound liquid, diluted in a bucket, and their sickness never lasted for long, not that my house was unhygenic, the antispetic keeps the air clean, when I never did this, the sickness lasted longer - this is my own discovery - my grown up kids don't have this antiseptic in their house the smell reminds them. Prayer also helps if you like to believe, it works with us. Sprinkle a little Cayenne Pepper on your food it also helps the pipes. Drink lots of fresh orange juice diluted with water, huge amounts of liquids helps to get rid of it. |

Fill up the reservoir with water (it's a small reservoir). Then add 2 drops of the following essential oils: 1. Red Clove Oil 2. Cinnammon Oil 3. Thyme Oil Let the steamer get hot, when you start seeing the steam come out of the steamer, put your face in cut out area, and inhale deeply 6 times. Do this 3x a day. At first it will gag you, you WILL feel it, then it gets better. Takes a few days but will break up the congestion and also kills a lot of bacteria. Of course please do your own due diligence and research these herbs first. I'm not a Dr., don't pretend to be and am not giving medical advice. If you can't find the above herbs locally, you can also put a few drops (maybe 2 or 3) or pure oregano oil into the steamer, that works almost as well (or Tea Tree Oil). I can say my entire family is hooked on this steam method when they start feeling a cold or sinus problems coming on, and has cured all throughout the years. Granted, some felt better in as little as 24 hours, others took a few days, but all did get better quicker than they would have otherwise. And trust me, my kids as teens would not have done this IF it had not made them feel better relatively quickly. They continued doing it, because it worked and the knew they would find relief. I also gave them megadoses of Vitamin C w/rose hips during this time frame. I started them at 2000 mg, upped to 3000 mg next day (sometimes to 4000/5000 a day if the issue lingered past 2 days) --- unless they got diarrhea, then I took them back by 1000 mg. doses until all was regular, and kept them on that dose until they were better. Proceed at your own risk. For gastrointestinal or Flu, believe it or not, I gave them the Epsom Salt Treatment; it cleaned 'em out and made them drink LOTS of fluids...would seem contrary right? Nope, worked, and usually within 24 hours their stomachs quit hurting and they felt better, just make sure they are home for a good 24 hours using the Epsom purge -- they hated me, but knew it made them feel better once the crap was all over, no pun intended :) P.S. For poster above, yes, we also would cook a big bermuda onion on stove with a bit of water, honey and lemon, that was our cough syrup, nasty stuff, but works. Try 10 really deep breaths as often as possible. It will take valuable fresh oxygen as well as fresh strong antibodies you have to fight off infection straight to the source...your lungs. Don't hyperventilate...just deep comfortable breaths every hour. Don't worry about payment...LOL Harper77 |

Should have started taking 5,000 IU a day starting Sept 1st. Right now, it is likely that you are severely deficient in vitamin D. Take 50,000 IU a day for several days to rapidly replenish your vitamin D storage and maintain it at 5,000 IU a day. You won't catch any cold or flu again (more like 99% reduction). |

I've gotten rid of colds and flus and chased out an infected tooth root. Seriously. Start using one of those and you'll be great in a couple days. I use a Zapper Z4eX I got off eBay. |
