Archangel_Gabriel User ID: 16412112 United States 12/19/2012 07:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ...Rifles of any kind are very rarely used in crime, since they are more difficult to conceal than are handguns, and "military-looking" rifles are generally more expensive than both handguns and common long guns (rifles, shotguns) used for hunting (see 3.5). Further, the Supreme Court has ruled that weapons having no "reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia" may be taxed in interstate commerce, clearly implying that weapons having such reasonable relationship with the militia are those which the Second Amendment protects the right of the people to keep and bear, moreso even than other types of weapons. In other words, the arms protected by the Second Amendment are those "such as are usually employed in civilized warfare, and that constitute the ordinary military equipment." ~Aymette v. State, 21 Tenn. Reports 154 (1840), prominently cited in U.S. v. Miller, 307 U.S. 174 (1939) Archangel_Gabriel |
Archangel_Gabriel User ID: 16412112 United States 12/19/2012 08:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "Up until just a bit over 2 decades ago, there were "Militia Camps" set up in many Counties here in Colorado, and similarly around the Country... The Colorado Militia was separate from the Colorado NATIONAL Guard however. The Colorado Militia still exists in name but hasn't existed "Constitutionally as mandated by the State Constitution", since George's buddy, fellow Texan, and Neo-con, Governor Bill Owens was taken to court by the Militia because he refused to follow the Constitution and name the State Militia officers after he was elected, this was in 1998... The stacked State Supreme Court sided with the Governor saying that the National Guard WAS the Militia, which is BS. The National Guard is rather the state adjunct attached to the federal power that was set up by the Dick act, and served as a way around the Constitutional restriction of only 2 years for a US "standing army", and only during a time of war. The Dick Act was passed just after the turn of the 20th Century. The Guard, and the Militia in many cases shared facilities. Slowly, "frog in the pot" like, the National guard with it's generous Federal funding, began to supplant the Militia in all but the more rural areas. The Militia Camps were always manned and on call much like volunteer fire departments today, the difference was the stored military and emergency equipment for the county and all was coordinated through the County Sheriff... The Militia itself was comprised of all those who signed up as 2nd Amendment Militia or Minute Men... and usually served a minimum of 2 days a month and then remedial and update training with their units 2 weeks a year... That is all gone now... Do you remember the demonization of the militias in the early 90's under Clinton that was the death knell... all thanks to the Bush/Clinton Dynasty... Remember, for the last 27 years, either the president or the vice president has been a person named Bush or Clinton!" --Oldyoti "What, sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty... Whenever Governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins." -- Rep Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts. 1-Annals of Congress, at 750, 8/17/1789 Archangel_Gabriel |

Of course when outside interests try to take over nations, they of course 'do not'. Now, is the best time to clarify ownership issues since the foreign owned Federal Reserve Bank is expiring tomorrow, so contact your legal represenative(s) to demand any or all secret banking cabals be closed down so as to reclaim OUR rights to this institution, without any of the foreign control that has started most of major wars to benefit their nations arms business, not the USA. Pray, we can detach ASAP from the criminal factors who have kept us at war and broke for needed rebuilding of our infrustucture. |

[link to www.lawguru.com] Actually, "...shall not be infringed" is pretty cut and dried. I don't how you sheeple keep getting hypnotized by all this statutory jibber jabber. If you read the comments of the founding fathers and later personalities of note, they all say in plain English why they added the 2nd amendment. Any other interpretation is an attempt to brainwash the people out of a RIGHT. A right is absolute. No law can infringe upon it. Just because a "lawyer" or "judge" has an opinion about the subject, does not mean his opinion is worth a damn. |

The days are getting slimmer as to what the courts say and what will actually go. You will have a moral and just choice to make at some point, and fairly soon unfortunately, and carelessly tossing away your rights to an immoral body of government that holds no regard for the interest of this country, your families well being, or your own well being, will be no excuse for your inaction. |

In practice; The State has the power to grab ANY citizen off the street, detain them without hearing of probable cause INDEFINITELY and try them IN SECRET without ever having disclosed to the defense, the evidence, sources or sealed testimony in support of such arrest, 'trial,' and conviction. It also perfectly and absolutely creates an infallible estoppel to appeal. Read more: [link to www.businessinsider.com] Still clinging to LAW??? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19701857 I have no intention of "tossing away my rights" to own my own firearms. Won't catch me voluntarily turning them in. But my whole point was that a lot of the judges don't seem like they care much about abiding by the constitution when it comes to citizen's rights. Can't trust them any more than you can senators, representatives or presidents these days.
