Re: Car buffs please help
The best way to test for spark is pull a wire off the plug and have your spouse put the end of the wire to their tongue then crank the engine. If there isn't any spark, could be a crank sensor among other things.

Good point! Getting car advice on GLP is not what an IT guy would do.

OP is probably a government agent.

Re: Car buffs please help
Okay guys more info:

It does not seem to be producing spark.
Fuel pump seems to be / is operational.

What could cause a car to stop running immediately and then not restart, unlikely a spark plug right because it has 6, so I am assuming the problem is deeper into the car that is above my auto engine intelligence.

Does it TRY to start but just not start all the way? What sound do you hear when you turn the key besides the fuel pump buzzing?

Re: Car buffs please help
You really need to get your codes read. Even if you don't have spark it can be caused by several things. However, it could likely be the crankshaft position sensor (CPS). These are a problem in chrysler products. You can probably find a cheap used code reader somewhere or rent/borrow one from a parts store.
