The 23rd was the original end of the Mayan Calendar...the New Age hippy movement changed it to the 21st to coincide with the winter solstice.

You might have to dig for it, because the new date has completely overtaken the original date, but there is information online.

I must say, the mood on GLP these days is nothing like I imagined it would be 2 days before the 12/21/12 !

We've all been talking about this date for so many years and now that it's finally almost here there seems to be a lack of...well pretty much everything !

No enthusiasm, no panic threads, if it weren't for all this talk about guns being banned it would be a really boring day on GLP ! I really didn't see this coming...

my family is joining a gig we organized on the 21, we're starting in the morning with some beer&420 then headin into a blues wake up call,

gonna play some SRV and gary moore for them, then we're going for lets say 30's delta blues to southern metal like pantera/bls during the day/night,it's gonna be one hell of a laugh,and musical ride and at least we're all together \m/

Home with my children. The MSM, doomtards and whatnot have terrified my kids that the end of the world is here. As much as I reassure them they have nagging doubts- Mom are sometimes wrong. So my job Friday is to keep my children's mind off the doom they have heard.

I'll be alternating between checking GLP and checking the news. Any storm or other disaster reported that day could well be the beginning of the end.
