Good to see some goodness in the world. All we preach is doom and believe the world to be black and white... when in fact it is just shades of gray. Yes, there are good cops out there and glad to see them doing something notably kind. I have met both flavors and everywhere in between. Was stopped by a police officer and made to stand in the rain. He did it on purpose and was acting like an ass about it. I have also been stopped with someone in my back seat caught with paraphernalia and the cop let us go, letting the person with the stuff know to keep that stuff at home and only do it at home.

I'd be impressed if they drove their own vehicles, paid for their own fuel and did it on their own time. Anything else is pure PR bullshit.

itis sad for the tax payers of "New England", whoarenow without police protection, that the police had to drive hundreds of costly miles out of town to find some sick, little kid they could use to make themselves look good.

How about 100 police cars with gifts go to 100 kids who are ill.

Cops are just trying to improve their bad reputation. How if they each chose a cause that would be something. After they have a party planned for themselves. That's my take.
