What are 100 LEO vehicles being position for? This is a very expensive trip.

Sure are a lot of Debbie Downers and cop haters here. Why not just let it all go FOR ONCE and see goodness and charity for what it is ?

How do you know the cops aren't paying for the gas, lodging, food, etc out of their own money ? And I highly doubt they are receiving "over time" pay. I think they are truly doing it out of the goodness of their hearts ...

They should have been patrolling the schools.

If this was the case 8 minutes worth of cars flying by............. Completely over done. My oersonal opinion, they are trying to make a spectical of themselves.

Public money is not extracted forcibly from taxpayers for selective "feel good" photo ops--don't those cops have a school to protect from some possible "crazed lone evil gunman"??
It took 100 of them--like that is the only kid with cancer in the entire New England/Mid Atlantic region??
Just a photo-op show for compassion points--when the SWAT gun cofiscation kills a lot of people who refuse to have their property stolen they'll remind us of how wonderful they are, with "We took presents that that one boy with cancer".

Back in my banking days we knew, you never loaned money to cops...not saying it's true of all cops, but...

We had what we called the Three P's (These were people you NEVER loaned money too), Police, Prostitutes, and Preachers...

And of the group of three, prostitutes were the most likely to pay you back...

Abuse of power if you ask me.

How many people would love to use things like this in more dire need than helping one person.

I for one can do a lot with 100 cop cars.

This is not "goodness and charity" but tax dollars being sucked up.

Better to take up a collection from officers interested and send the parents a check.

No right to drive all over the country in gas guzzling vehicles in an operation not involving public safety and law enforcement. Certain jurisdictions must be short of standard operations equipment if this is legitimate.

So ... what's being covered up now? The vehicles are being put in place for something.

But have you noticed all the positive police stories lately. This after the ones where they shoot unarmed people and bash protesters maybe it's a balancing.

I was caught up in one of these one time, for the funeral of a vet. They closed off ALL areas of escape. Had parallel highways, with hundreds of acres in between them, closed off and monitored by various agencies, all side roads closed off/blocked, all roads leading to and from the 2 highways blocked as well.
This was in Clayton county, Ga. If you look at a map pf what they had closed off, you would see that a large population of a certain type of people, and all others who happened to be in the area, would have been unable to travel, had they kept the blockades up. As it was, they, we were stuck for 3 hours. People needed medical attention and couldn't get it. Think about it. What does this really sound like? Cards for an ailing kid, or a test of some kind?

It's too late....Nothing they do can ever repair their image in my eyes!
