SHOCKING VIDEO : Americas Crazy Obesity Problem

When I was younger it was rare to see someone that was overly obese. Kids were out playing instead of sitting in front of the idiot box or playing video games.

Fast food and most of the food that is easily prepared, frozen, etc. is so full of crap.

Go to Walmart and you'll see whole families, a convoy of scooters, driving around the store with a basket full of crap food.

I don't care for fast food (an occasional Whopper because truth be told they are f'n delicious). I do enjoy sweets, etc. but in moderation.

It is so sad and a strain on society. My sister in law had that lap band surgery and did lose about 60 lbs. but she gained it back. I've known at least 2 people that did the same.

I guess we'll have to get them young and try to teach them but it's difficult if mom and pop are handing them pop tarts for breakfast and Happy Meals for lunch.

Wanted to add, I do believe it is an addiction and I really feel horribly for these people.

I read their bodies are more or less starving while being this heavy, the body keeps telling the brain to eat because it is trying to get nutrients, sugar and fast food doesnt have the vitamins and nutrients it needs so it is crying out for food that it can use

I've noticed that on the various programs that show people that are morbidly obese. They can't even stand up but continue to gain weight.

There is enabling going on for sure. I sometimes wonder if the husband or wife wants to keep their obese significant other fat so they know where they are at all times and they remain in control?

Home cooked food is just as dangerous as junk food.

It's the consuming of too many calories that is making everyone fat.
Home cooked food (I'm talking really oily stuff like Italian, Indian etc that has taken off big time the last few years)makes it a lot more difficult to work out the calorie content of what people are putting in their mouths.

You'd think with the explosion of all these cooking shows the last few years, that the obesity numbers would be dropping. BUT THEY'RE NOT.

Even a lot of the TV Chefs are getting fat.
And that's on freshly cooked food...

Another factor is.....
There is something in our produce and products that is escalating this...and the culprit is GM products hidden in the various foods we eat every day....
It's fucking with everyones metabolism...and creating deformed obese whales...

Can you imagine what will to some of this people that can barley move when a natural disaster or some kind of war/civil unrest happens?

Obese people can move... even morbidly obese. It takes being a LOT LOT LOT overweight to be truly barely able to move.

my whole family is obess, im the only one that is not. just do not watch so much tv. rpg computer games are fine.

Technically, yes, they can die.

There are essential Proteins that your body can't store in fat (Since it's fat.) In order to survive your body will take these from your muscles. You can run out of that long before you run out of fat, and die of malnutrition.

Obesity isn't from eating fats. Good fats actually help reduce weight.

It's the lowfat craze and the demonization of good whole fats that is in part responsible.

GMOs are a huge factor as well as infectious disease.
Think of all the hormones being injected into animals! Why do you think kids are going into puberty so early.

Heavy metals and environmental toxins! Toxins cause obesity. They are stored in fat cells and corrupt organ function.

Vaccines!! They just screw up everything and infect people with not only multiple viruses and bacteria but also heavy metals and other neurotoxins.

Cholesterol causing heart disease is also a hoax! Inflammation causes it.

Cholesterol is needed in our body to help prevent heart disease and to protect our cells from pathogens.

Oh and lets not forget all the medications everyone is on!!! They take their toll on physiological processes.

Time to stop focusing on the obesity epidemic from the standpoint of the fat and cholesterol myths and getting down to the fact that REAL food is becoming scarce in this country and we're friggin being poisoned and infected with everything under the sun!

about the indian food - it so full of great spices, so nice man:D just eat some... not two buckets they give you - cause the greatest hindu food is krishans and they will give you as much as you want. the "serving lady" asks if you want some more... say thank you, it was so nice.

Which can be accomplished by exposing/toppling the criminals and their companies who produce and profit from that shit, while simultaneously setting out to change the mindset and eating habits of an entire population, AND, giving hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland back to the real farmers who know how to grow REAL food. Do that, and this obesity plague will go begin to go away. Of course, people have been and will continue to be overweight because of other health or genetic reasons, but the overall epidemic would subside, IMO.
