| Saddletramp User ID: 740208 12/20/2012 12:09 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would carefully watch the timing of the tranches of stock the government is selling here...this sounds like a clue that maybe they know something is about to go down... Quoting: Saddletramp Of course they know something is about to go down. They are selling the stock to prevent a total loss of their investment when GM goes under. Isn't it funny how the government can trade on insider information but we can't? |

Not that a 25% loss is great. They are saying that a million jobs were saved by the Government investment in GM. Jobs were saved. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30351192 Investing in stocks is a gamble at best unless you control the game. No jobs were saved, there is no such thing. Instead jobs were lost because inefficient companies stayed in business. If GM had failed back in '08, other car companies would have taken up the sales lost by GM. Those companies would have had to ramp up production and would end up hiring the people laid off at GM. Those companies operate more efficiently and thus stimulate the economy culminating in job creation. Maybe the F-E-D- does not want jobs and production while they are trying to print the banks of the world back into solvency. With the combo of Production, investment and output through the fractional banking system you realize this could kill the dollar through inflation within weeks...............right? |

If the dollar goes, so too does the rest of the global economy. The dollar is so intertwined on a global level that by the time it is even remotely removed from circulation, the world economy would have already collapsed. Why do you think that all of the world is working to make sure that US banks stay solvent? |

There are price controls on everything as the end of the year chart painting has hit overdrive status. Everything must be "created" to look as good as possible and with an unlimited printing press with infinite cords of wood and barrels of ink they are getting the picture they want to paint ! |

We are definitely on the same page here. Funny how two people who have never met each other can work together on a random website to figure out what is ailing the global economy. Yet, thousands of people in government with billions in funding can't figure out jack shit. Pathetic. |

Yet, thousands of people in government with billions in funding can't figure out jack shit. Pathetic. One more thing I forgot to add. In reference to your comment about price discovery mechanisms, i.e., the invisible hand, well I guess that it's not so invisible anymore. That hand belongs to the US government and is setting prices in ways that open markets would never do. Sadly, we are now stuck with price manipulation and if the government were to remove its control over prices, it would be the end of the global economy as we know it. Total collapse. |
