Strange little EarthQuake SWARM in Nevada ongoing

I told my wife that I would be right in when she went to be at 10:50p, Here I am at nearly 130a, and have to be up at 6.
Just really curious about what all is being discussed tonight.

What's with all the variable Mags and depths? Aren't swarms mostly consistent?

me and my aunt was just saying that... not normal

im no quakexpert but used to be it was unusual to be that scattered.

but lately its becoming the new norm

Most of them seem to be around 4 miles deep.
Up to 11. If one popped up with a 20 mile depth
That might be odd, but these are in a close range.

As for the mags... Normal too.

Depending on what this swarm does...
Say we get a 3.0 that might jump the swarm
Into the 2's for a while. It could stop for a day
Or two then start back up.

Swarms are unpredictably interesting to me.

Located in the eastern foothills of the SILVER PEAK. Gold was found seven miles away. A mill Mountains approximately 30 miles from Tonopah is the town of Silver Peak. Home to Chemetall Foote Corporation's local lithium mine, the area's largest employer and the only lithium producing mine in the United States. Lithium and gold mining is Silver Peak's prominent industry.
Silver Peak is also known for a 375-foot high cinder cone (an extinct volcano) located in the Clayton Valley. Within the Silver Peak Range also is the Silver Peak caldera. Any volcanologist would appreciate this area rich in volcanic history.
HISTORY
Silver Peak is one of the oldest mining areas in Nevada, discovered in 1863; it produced substantial amounts of silver, gold, and other minerals. The town site was established in 1864 due to a spring that was in the area. A 10 stamp mill was built in 1865 and a 20 stamp mill was built in 1867. However, mining was far from steady in the area as the mines changed ownership and new milling techniques were invented. The ups and downs of the mining industry resulted in a fluctuation in the population as well. In 1948 a fire burned the town of Silver Peak. After that there was little activity until 1966, when the Foote Mineral Company started its lithium extracting operations in nearby Clayton Valley.

Well, if my memory serves me right....the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) use to round up all the wild mustangs in that area....was just imagining PSY doing that dance....You know..entertaining myself! But thanks Doc! He is a twisted kinda twit. Bad example.

The Hawthorne swarm was very irritating.
Like a constipated volcano trying to blow...
It produced a 4.6 and swarmed for about 3 months
Off and on.

I don't know...about this swarm...it's just...odd.

This swarm started right after the Ridgecrest
Quakes stopped. Just north of Ridgecrest off the
395, it was getting 3 or 4 quakes daily in the 2-3.
Range.

They stopped.

That's what I just noticed.. They jumped the border !

Oh that makes sense, they are working over time to mine Lithium to medicate all the depressed, from no 2012 doom, and spending all their life savings prepping. LOL
