Re: Marine fossils found 4000m above sea level in Peru: nice to see the sea high up there
OP, have even bothered to calculate what additional volume of water would be needed to flood the entire surface of the Earth to a depth 4,000 feet above present sea level. Where did all that extra water go when the flood subsided.

To really begin to understand the absurdity of your hypothesis consider that fossils of marine creatures have been found at about the 25,500 ft. level on Mt. Everest. If as you expect us to believe those fossils were placed there by a global flood where did the volume of water needed to flood the entire surface of the planet Earth to a height 4.83 miles above present sea level go when the flood subsided? Gimnme a damn break.

It never ceases to amaze me how desparate religitard holy rollers are to use pseudocience to "prove" their religious beliefs or how constantly they demand that everyone else profess to share their beliefs. To me they present themselves as very insecure frightened people.

I believe in God and I give thanks unto it that I arrived at that decision after decades of study and thought. I especially give thanks that I do not need the agreement of anyone else to feel comfortable and secure in my beliefs.

Willfully ignorant. The Bible describes mountains forming AFTER the flood as the waters shifted, due to the geologic catastrophe that had just taken/was taking place. There is more than enough water in the oceans to cover the Earth if the mountains were not yet formed, I could provide a link to Walt Brown's website that provides the scientific data for it, but you could just as easily research it yourself. I know you won't because you are WILLINGLY IGNORANT! People hate the thought of a God that judges and this generation HATES consequences....

I said it was both earlier.

Yet you people INSIST on being heard.

Yeah tectonic plates can move fossils kilometers above sea level.

Yes the Earth was flooded at some point.

sheesh.

Don't think of it as being that the water was above the land where the land is now. Think of it as land rising out of the water as the planet changed.

Except there is no evidence for that at all. In order for something to become accepted theory, it has to explain the current data and observations better than what is already in place, AND be able to predict future data results.

Your theory does neither, and is full of holes. This isn't how science works. Just because you think it's in a book written by megalomaniacs and murderers supposedly inspired by a heretofore unproven deity doesn't make it fact.

Oceanographers know that there is much more volumes of water surrounding the equatorial regions and deeper volumes than in other areas of the world's oceans, i.e. Mariana trench and Puerto Rico trench. If the world tilts 90% then those bigger volumes will slosh and create tsunamis miles high. When the sloshing subsides after many rounds of tsunamis, the waters return to the equatorial regions from where they originally came. (Just turn your half-filled bathtub 90% upright and notice that the filthy bathwater then stains the bathroom walls. Your skin cells and hair follicles will stick to a dimensional height based on your own physical lifting or churning of the bathtub.) This settling or subsiding of flood waters will take years. As a Christian, then you should understand that Noah's experience of the flooding resulted in a subsiding of those floods.

It's more likely that at one point that mountain top was below sea level than the water being that high.

IOW, that mountain peak must have been a sea floor at on time but was pushed up by plate tectonics....

Iron Does not have any magnetic properties you induce it trough energy input.

You can destory a magnet if you throw it to the ground or melt it or shock the metal in anyway.

But you also can create a magnet from iron if you induce energy like in a electro magnet you also can align iron isotopes in a magnetic orientation this orientation can again be destoryed if you shock the iron again etc.

So the theory about a iron core in the earth is pretty plausible you can easily prove it with a piece of iron a copper wire and a battery.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30747074

Well iron as well as every atom on this Earth is magnetic...

If you put any trust in applied or quantum physics, every atom in everything consists of charged particles...

These particles have one of two purposes attract or repel...electrons or protons...

The attraction part works pretty well as it keeps us all together...

These are called cohesive bonds, where as they are not "electro-magnetic" in nature they are magnetic and are defined by physic's laws of attraction...

However, when I said that iron loses it magnetic properties when heated to molten, perhaps I should have said loses it ferrous properties...

You do not need an electric current (battery) to make a nail a magnet...just a natural magnet...rub your nail across a natural magnet from S to N a few times and your nail will pick up another nail...no electric current involved...

Now take that natural magnet and pick up the nail...then heat the nail...the magnet will lose its attraction to the ferrous iron long before it reaches molten heat...

Although molten iron is a very good conductor of electricity...

By adding an electric current to molten iron it would make the iron act as plasma...Now lets take that molten iron plasma and introduce a magnetic field around it, ie Earth's magnetic field a 9000 mile magnet...now our molten iron plasma not only has a magnetic field to contain it but also has become an electric generator...self sustaining magnetic field...Well I think it is time for our micro (molten iron plasma) sun to get a recharge...

Perhaps that is what has been happening to the magnetic field, moving, weakening,...Our battery just needs a recharge...

And I can't wait till you ask me how this is going to happen...

Marine fossils found in southern Peru

Chivay, Dec. 19 (ANDINA). Marine fossils were found 4,000 meters above sea level in the province of Caylloma, in Peru’s southern region of Arequipa, Mayor Elmer Caceres said.

Forty fossils, such as winkles, shells, limpets and turtle shells were found.

Caceres urged Arequipa's Regional Directorate to do some research in the area to determine scientifically the fossils' age.

The exact location has not been announced yet to prevent looting.

The fossils, which were discovered by a group of farmers from Caylloma, remain in the town hall and authorities expect to find a museum to display these pieces.

(END) RMC/JOT/RZZ/MOC

Once the ages of the fossils is known, we can then know that the moutains were under the sea at that time
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26991130

Plenty of marine fossils were also found in the area of Tiahuanaco, the ancien city in the vicinity of lake Titicaca. This shows the city was once situated at a sea border and must be much, much older than mainstream science wants to admit (archaeologists are often at odds with historians). Edmund Kiss, an archaeologist during the Third Reich era, researched about Tiahuanaco and wrote a book about the ancient history of our planet.

The altiplano (between the two Andes ranges (east and Pacific) is a perfectly flat plain which has been left after the water drained away during the course of likely millennia. It is surrounded by the peaks of the Andes and at its perimeter, the beach line of the ancient sea is still visible (according to Edmund Kiss).

The fossil record is full of animals that could not survive in today's gravity
 Quoting: UK Coward 30716028

Show us the biomechanical calculations necessary to even make such a claim.

Cataclysmic geology is always ridiculed by mainstream science since it flies in the face of a "comfortable" and slowly changing world we live in. All you need to do is look carefully at our world and discoveries like this to see that this world is anything but predictable and "safe".
