True. Tests have shown a .22 can penetrate a half inch board at 450 yards. I would never want to get shot with a .22.....especially a Stinger hollow point.

.223 is hell on coyotes, but, you really need a .270 and up for deer...

You don't have to be a hunter to know where meat comes from. Why add more dead animals? It is not as though another is spared, because hunters go out and shoot at unarmed animals. It is the thrill of killing something.

Get a job in an abattoir if you like killing animals. If you want to go out hunting, do it against other armed hunters. That would be real sport with a bit of bravery added.

Ok, I'll say it, I can assure you I have shot, killed and ate more deer with a .22 rifle than any other gun I own. Long story short starving collage kid, lived out west and needed to eat.

Fun fact,If hunters didn't thin out the deer population,more dear would stave to death in the winter for lack of food.

Wolves use to keep the deer population in check but they have been killed to save livestock that end up on grocery market shelves.
