Someone else noticed?
Maybe an event that happens in Samoa at Time X by local time happens later at another location when the clocks show the same time.

Re: Time Zones
Well, according to Wickypedia, the Mayans were around Belize, Guatemala and S. Mexico, which use GMT-6. Although time zones are often defined by political boundaries and are in coarse increments of usually an hour, GMT-6 should be a rough guide as to when midday, midnight, sunrise and sunset will be. However, when did the Mayans say the day would End? European tradition (and now international standards) say that the day ends halfway between sunrise and sunset, aka midnight. The Jewish calendar does it differently, and IIRC the Shabbat day (Saturday) runs from Friday sunset until Saturday sunset. I think for Muslims, Friday runs from Friday sunrise until Saturday sunrise. Where did Mayan standards place the barrier between the dates? Did they even consider nights to even have dates?

On the 30th of February 0AD, Mayan astronomers observed a planet called Nibiru approaching the Earth. They contacted NASA, who developed HAARP and used it to deflect Nibiru on the 31st of June. (This was before Caesar developed the Gregorian calendar.)

Nostradamus predicted the following: "In the distant future, a Great Man from Colchis (Georgia) will rise up and devour his apparel." He was right:

He also predicted that "A big-ass planet is gonna crash into the Earth in 2012, man"
