yeah considering how few gun crimes are in Canada and how strict gun laws are. Im on the fence, at one end I would like to see every one disarmed including disbanding the worlds armys but on the other hand this looks like a government plot to take any ability for us to defend ourselves for an inevitable dictatorship takeover for US and Canada.

According to the CDC in a 1993 study firearms were used in home defense 450,000 times the previous year. According to another independent study guns were used in self defense 750,000 times in 2008. Data found on politifact.

This doesn't mean the guns were fired, only that they were brandished. It is quite reasonable that even if only a tiny fraction of these incidences resulted in the saving of a life that many times more people are saved by firearms than killed.

And what about Switzerland? They all have guns there and the number killed in firearms related deaths is 24 a year.

Funny thing, switzerland has a defense force composed of everyone. You serve in the military and then keep a
